Smart Traffic Violation Detection System

In the modern era when everything is mechanized, there arises a requirement for the highway systems to be mechanized as well. A system that will nullify bribery incidents and will not require any man power. We intend to provide such a system which will fulfill these requirements. The project will entail a Speed sensing mechanism which automatically updates a database with the details of an over speeding vehicle using the GSM system. Once the details are updated, the driver is fined. A GPS is connected to a microcontroller which alerts the driver and the police when the driver exceeds the set/critical speed limit. New speed limit is automatically set by the transmitters on the road side, when the vehicle enters the specific zone. Another safety feature is the seatbelt fastening detection. It is innovative as it informs the highway police beforehand about the vehicle. A“smart” system which monitors the overall goodwill of the driver and ensures safety.It monitors the speed of the vehicle at all times and keeps the police updated 24/7. The project comprises of different low cost modules which all in all makes driving on the roads safer for the citizens.
