Contribute to program reporting
• Identify program funding opportunities and securing donor meetings.
• Assist field programs when needed
• Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility as and when needed
• Attend coordination meetings on behalf of the organization, gather and share information, develop and nurture contacts within the donor community, government and other NGOs as appropriate
• Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organizations Code of Conduct, ethics, values and stand-point with regard to internal and external actors
• Supervise staff to ensure their smooth and effective operations
• Maintain open lines of communications with all field staff
• Maintain frequent communication with Program Manager to ensure program activities and objectives are communicated
• Interface with government and relevant agencies as necessary
• Ensures application and compliance of security protocols and policies
· To lead, oversee and support Child protection unit (CPU) staff in order to develop weekly and monthly work-plans of activities. Also supervise the development of Child Protection plans and responsible to implement project activities as per project plan.
· Monitor and provide support to CPU staff with regard to implementation of field-based activities and events.
· To engage on regular basis with secretariat of Child rights advocacy network (CRAN), focal persons of child rights desks established at district line departments over referral of CPU cases, and seek updated progress on cases.
· Ensure that project policies particularly child protection policies are well understood by CPU staff and are practiced in all project interventions.
· Ensure that line management is updated with latest information on key developments in the CPU, child rights desks and in general about child protection component of the programme.
· Prepare, case studies, monthly and quarterly reports. Furnish information and development of progress reports.
· Mapping of services available at district level with regard to child protection and ensure wider dissemination of child protection related information among communities.
· Ensure that advance requests for release of activities / administrative budgets are submitted well in time to management for approval as per organizational procedures.
· To develop effective functional networks with other actors working for the furtherance of children’s rights and development of District Child Protection Plan.
· Represent on behalf of organization at district level meetings, forums, events and public to ensure that stakeholders are updated on CPU progress, experience sharing and learning from the project.
· Include child participation in all project work, wherever practicable, and seek to develop and incorporate child-friendly methodologies to promote child participation in project Implementation.
· Responsible for the Supervision and implementation of all activities to be undertaken by the partner organization as required under the Grant
· Responsible for the Technical management of the project related activities
· Responsible for the project related procurement and supply management
· Maintain specific and in-depth knowledge of applicable guidelines and procedures to ensure effective implementation of the intended project activities in an appropriate and acceptable manner. To establish Human Rights Early Warning System by execution of early warning and referral system.
· Create the Referral System and legal aid for human rights defenders & victims.
· Prepare work planning documents and updates to share within office and with the The Asia Foundation (TAF) monitoring team.
· Conduct public outreach to increase change attitude and behavior of general communities and stake holders through printed & electronic media or any other medium of communication as per requirement.
· Celebration and promotion of annual “REAT” awards to the excellent individuals and institutions on their remarkable achievements.
· Follow up, check on-going activities for quality control; prepare periodical reports on the formats provided by the TAF
· Review performance reports to ensure the performance expectations outlined in their work plan and in the Performance Framework.
· To review and verify data provided by the Project officer, Admin & Finance officer, Field Liaison officer and Early Warning helpline operators.
· To closely monitor/verify the routine activities/performance of team to ensure KPIs (Keep Performing Indicators)
· Coordinate with SR to manage personnel matters e.g.; Time sheets leave records, probations and appraisals.
· Participate in all project related meetings/trainings
· Maintain regular liaison with the focal person at TAF office to clarify any issues relating to grant implementation
· Participate in the external project evaluation on project impact.
· Promotion of advocacy for legal and policy change.
· Establish networking with other NGOs, CBOs, media & journalists, religious & political leaders, law enforcement agencies and civil society
