My name of Abdul Waheed and I am residing in Gulmit Gojal Hunza. Besides having MBA with NGO management, I have 18 years of experience with various NGOs especially with AKDN. I have learned allot from AKDN which helped me to lead projects with various NGOs in Punjab, KPK and even in Baluchistan. I am expert in leading, coordinating, managing and monitoring projects. Although my whole experience revolves around managing educational institutions but during the massive earthquake in KPK and AJK, I got exposures in managing the construction of many schools. The floods in the GB in the year 2010 provided me opportunity to work with WWF as well. During my eighteen years of quest in development sector, I have worked with finance, administration, human resource, monitoring and evaluation, community mobilization and managing projects. Moreover, I am specialist in proposals report writing and have attended many refresher courses especially at LUMS.
My background has provided me many intangible qualifications one can't learn from a book. Qualities such as resourcefulness, insight, adaptability, pride, and common sense are just a few; protocol including integrity, accountability, appropriateness, and a strong, honest work ethic. Besides playing a key role in drafting the project Bulbulik, I have designed many projects for the Gulmit Educational and Social Welfare Society, Gulmit, Gojal, Hunza.
My personal statement demonstrates my enthusiasm for management, article writing, photography, marketing, combined with my exceptional computer skills and development sector management knowledge.
Moreover, I have a life time experience of honorary services for the community. I have been served as the the first Commissioner District Scouts for Hunza (1996 to 2000), and have served different civil society institutions of Gojal, Hunza on responsible positions.
Now at the age of 49 i can easily adjust myself in any learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities:
➢ Paying regular visits to the affected areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and preparation of proposals for emergency foods in coordination of the respective Deputy Commissioners.
➢ Monitoring supply chain of the organization.
➢ Monitoring the implementing organizations in distribution process of emergency foods in the region.
➢ Preparation and submission of reports to the relevant authorities in daily, weekly and on monthly basis.
Core responsibilities:
➢ Performing project management functions for the funding organization
➢ Developing results-based Annual Work Plans that clearly set out the quarterly and output targets, indicators, activities, resource requirements, and budget;
➢ Designing, planning and drafting various project proposals for the organization.
➢ Conducting various capacity building and organizational development sessions for the SMCs, BoGs, SCs and other local organizations based on the TNA.
➢ Communicating with partner organization as focal person.
➢ Ensuring the provision of technical assistance to the staff
➢ Sharing information regularly on the progress of project implementation, and any relevant issues, including the updating of project monitoring and issue logs

I started my career with Aga Khan Education Service Pakistan in their office at Gilgit. I joint the institution as accountant and after four years of services, I shifted my job as administrative officer at PDCN Gilgit and worked for three years finally worked as Human Resource Officer. I fulfilled all the jobs related to accountant, administrative officer and human resource officer. for almost 8 years
