概要

Currently I am engaged with USAID small grants in Islamabad. Having a masters degree in social sciences I have an overall demonstrated experience of over 17 years, in the sectors of Monitoring, analytical reporting, evaluation, microfinance, protection, Livelihood, Social Mobilization, capacity building, accountability and management in development and relief projects in poverty stricken and disaster affected areas of Pakistan. My knowledge, exposure and experience of directly working with the vulnerable segments of society has helped me understand the dynamics, limitations and at the same time potential of these groups to come out of the difficult situation and to lead a normal life like others do. This improved understanding assisted me to deliver services and capacity building initiatives in a more effective manner.

More than a decade association with Rural Support Programs strengthened my understanding about basic and advanced concept of social mobilization and institutional development at the grassroots level for poverty alleviation. My service through National Rural Support Program in poverty stricken and disaster affected areas of Pakistan.

I have visited several countries to represent my organizations at different international forums. These include USA, Italy, France, Germany, Bolivia, Bangladesh and India. Besides that I have personally visited different countries of Europe and middle-east. This exposure provided me opportunity to compare different strategies to respond to acute human needs in human induced and natural disaster affected communities.

I have worked for humanitarian cause in almost all geographical regions of Pakistan including insecure areas and threatening / challenging environments.

In brief, I got substantial experience and knowledge of project management, poverty alleviation, relief, early recovery, reconstruction and development projects, short and long term interventions taking care of the local cultures, norms and values.
