Start-up of Internal Audit department. Developed and maintained a risk based plan from the evaluation of the control environment. Prepared the department budget, created and maintained audit programs and assigned audits to team. Financial, operational and compliance reviews were planned and performed on various business units and retail locations. Reviews included assurance of proper internal controls, cost effectiveness analysis and compliance with company policy and procedures. Reviewed audit reports and work papers to ensure all observations were supported.
Assisting and working in close liaison with HOD internal audit and CFO in development of annual internal audit plan.
Daily Review of collections and ensure that proper collections are made as per invoice and agreed terms and deductions are made in line with Tax rules and policies.
Review of GL and ensure that proper posting is being done in compliance with Accounting policies and highlighting differences with Pre-Audit Statements.
Review of Pre-Audit Summaries of entire Group Companies. Suggesting and Implementing improved and highly efficient internal accounting policies, procedures and controls, designed to increase transparency and accuracy.
Finalization the basis on which departmental budgets is prepared/increased and monitoring the budget vs. actual expenditures, forward to Head of Internal Audit for further actions.
Provide the detail of Open Audit Observations to Head of Internal Audit for Committee meetings.
Review of Intercompany Reconciliations and highlighting the differences in invoices.
Review of Vehicle Efficiency Report (Pan PAKISTAN) on monthly basis in order to ensure that management assign targets and goals are achieved by the Operations.
Detecting the frauds, if any occurring in the Organization and helping the Litigation Department in recovery of the amount from the respective personnel involved in the fraud with the Company.
Monitor the prices of Procurement Department rate vs independent survey report of junior auditors and forwarded to concern stakeholders for appropriate actions.
Review of Agreements with clients and vendors in order to ensure that payment terms and rates are accordance with company polices.
Review of Purchase orders and Medical Reimbursements claims in order to ensure that prices are accordance with the limit/ agreed terms.
