• Share security alerts/information through SMS, WhatsApp and email among WFP Quetta staff and security managers in order to keep them abreast, alert and aware about any security risk;
• Develop Weekly Security Review Reports of the WFP intervention Districts of Balochistan;
• Develop Flash Reports of significant security incidents;
• Develop Quarterly performance/activity reports of PO Security Unit;
• Develop Quarterly Reports of the significant security incidents of WFP intervention districts and recommend context specific risk mitigation measures for the safety and security of WFP staff;
• Keep a check on the performance of security guards at WFP office and at warehouse and keep them alert to ensure the SOPs for Access Control and emergency situations;
• Ensure mission briefing for WFP staff before they go in the field;
• Devise periodic modules for the training of staff and arrange safety and security trainings for staff accordingly;
• Closely coordinate with UNDSS and other Security Agencies to get information and security updates in order to ensure safety and security of WFP staff;
• Ensure the compliance of all WFP staff on Minimum Operational Security Standards (MOSS);
• Establish better and improved Liaison with Home & Tribal Affairs Department, police and other security agencies to facilitate WFP staff with police escort for secure and timely field missions;
• Pay need based security assessment visits to the WFP intervention areas in Balochistan and assess the threats in certain areas for revising contextualized/specific security protocols and advisories for safe interventions

Specific tasks and major achievements;

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments in Balochistan and Sindh, based on the results of assessments, developing context specific risk reduction strategies, specific Safety and Security SOPs, contingency plans;
• Help in developing the Security Management Plan of Pakistan 2015-2016;
• Develop Risk Mitigation Strategies on regular basis for all Projects and also for Field Offices specially equipping the field staff about road safety measures through trainings;
• Devise periodic modules for the training of staff, professional colleagues and IPs in order to keep them resurrected and active in follow-up with Security SOPs
• Closely coordinate with all SFPs from different Projects and field offices and oriented them on safety and security updates and trends
• Develop Specific Security Modalities for MC Guesthouse
• Regularly train office and field staff members on precautionary measures and SOPs;
• Ensure the compliance of all staff on Minimum Standard Operational
• Procedures (MOSS);
• Regularly coordinate with UNDSS and INGOs’ and contribute in revival and strengthening of INGOs Security Forum Balochistan.
• Establish better and improved Liaison with Home & Tribal Affairs Department, police and other security agencies and got thrived in building an information network in analyzing and assessing security situation and threats in Balochistan and Sindh provinces.
