The National Assembly makes laws for the Federation in respect of the powers enumerated in the Federal Legislative list. As ICT Consultant, my responsibilities are, to:
- Lead development team for the development of Parliament ICT System – MIS and Cloud based legislative processes automation
- Assist in deployment of the software/hardware for the effective implementation of e-Parliament project and advise the Parliament on budgetary requirements for sustainable ICT service delivery
- Conduct the regular monitoring and evaluation session to mitigate the risk of failure in projects
- Seek ways to apply technology to business processes automation in the National Assembly and Legislation branches
- Advise on options, risks, costs vs. benefits, impact on other business processes and system priorities and help NA Automation center in procuring software and hardware products following PPRA compliance tendering process
- Meeting with potential donors and sponsors to define the mutual interests and coordinating efforts to ensure the effective implementation of ICT initiatives and in accordance with the needs of the Parliament e-Transition Plan

British Council / European Union - Improving Parliamentary Performance in Pakistan (IP3), is funded by the European Union (EU) and is being delivered by a group of international and local partners led by the British Council. The project aims to support strengthening of democracy in Pakistan by helping to build the capacity of elected representatives and institutions. Legislators with access to quality support services, research and policy advice help improve the outcomes of democratic institutions worldwide. As Senior ICT Expert, my responsibilities were, to:
- Assist the Automation departments of Parliament including National Assembly and Senate in developing detailed specifications of the equipment requirements for the ICT projects
- Advice and work with the Parliament on re-structuring and hiring, where necessary
- Design and develop the customized workflow of MIS on Microsoft SharePoint Services, integrated in to the Enterprise Educational Portal for capacity building of the Parliamentarians
- Develop training programs for the Parliament’s Automation team
- Work with the Parliament’s Automation team in developing the ICT Policy Framework
- Monitor and evaluate the e-Parliament projects, impact assessment reports to all the stakeholders
- Lead the team for the implementation of the ICT initiatives identified for Parliament

Premier institution of the Government of Pakistan under Ministry of Industries & Production, SMEDA was established in October 1998 to take on the challenge of developing Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan. (http://www.smeda.org.pk). As SDM, my responsibilities were to:
- Develop the IT Sector interventions, conducted consultative workshops with the public & private stakeholders and
- Assist & advice SMEs to meet their ICT needs to enhance productivity, outreach and profitability
- Plan the IT Audit and following the IT Governance structures to obtain enterprise goals
- Develop software development policies, software technology road map and project plans for software development execution
- Lead the outsourced software team to develop the online portals and to analyze the solution to make SMEDA Portal Web 2.0 compliant
- Design and develop the online marketing strategy for SMEDA web portal with application level short code integration for SMS and email service
- Conduct nationwide seminars and road shows in business chambers, trade associations and Academia to provide awareness and training on SME e-Presence and ICT usage in general

The idea of an Industrial Information Network (IIN) was prognosticated by UNIDO & MOIP to develop a B2B portal to cater to the needs of SMEs from various industrial sectors in Pakistan.
As Manager, Software Development my responsibilities were, to:
- Design the architecture of B2B portal and lead the development team of portal in Microsoft technologies
- Collaborate with CCIs (chamber of commerce and industries) and Trade Associations across Pakistan for the registrations of their members on the portal
- Coordinate with UNIDO team for the project updates and future planning
- Lead the content development team for effective parsing of content through the automated process of content processor developed in-house
- Present periodic progress reports to the Member IT - MOIT and concerned officials at MOIP

- Analyze the requirement of the company and develop an ERP solution for maintaining record of big construction projects
- Preparation of budgeting, resource allocation, feasibility of upcoming projects via and IT enabled system and maintaining record in its optimal use for business targets achievements
- Training and hiring the employees of IT department and ensuring the effectiveness of IT Department in the organization through standard implementation of different IT Modules
- Responsible for ISO standard documentation of projects

Incorporated in 1986, Aptech the leading IT technical and vocational education training (TVET) company has evolved to become a global IT major. As Centre Manager (FTBL, Pakistan), my responsibilities were to:
- Manage the Marketing, counseling and academic departments and to lead development team of on campus software house, Conduct corporate training sessions & teaching Software Engineering
- Correspond with NSO (Network Support Office) for Aptech World Wide correspondence and to communicate with Southern Cross University Australia for student migration program
- Major Achievement: First “Companion of British Education Bureau” in Pakistan. Planned the launch of “Chartered Information Technology Insured Practitioner (CITIP)” and “Chartered Engineering (C Eng)” Programs, for the first time in Pakistan (Mar 2003).
