System Engineer / System Administrator

The Principal System Engineer will manage and secure our IT infrastructure, ensuring email system reliability, multi-site Active Directory efficiency, and centralized software deployment. Your role encompasses proactive troubleshooting, security, and compliance to maintain operational excellence. Join us in safeguarding our digital assets and optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities:

Will be managing, optimizing, and securing Multi-Site Exchange Server 2016. Will ensure email system reliability & compliance while providing user support and proactive troubleshooting.
Will be managing a multi-site Active Directory environment, ensuring seamless connectivity, directory replication, group policies and user access across multiple geographic locations while maintaining security and compliance.
Utilizing SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) to streamline software deployment, patch management, and system monitoring in a centralized IT environment, enhancing operational efficiency and security.
Leveraging SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) for real-time monitoring, proactive issue identification, and performance optimization across IT systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Responsibilities include managing and optimizing the Extended Detection and Response (XDR) system, integrating security tools, monitoring threats, and ensuring a robust cybersecurity posture.
Prepare/assist in project documentation (Project Charter, Project Plan, Functional Specification document, configuration document, architecture design)
Monitor systems for external security threats; take corrective and preventive steps to manage the threats.
Handle server log management and compliance as per ISO 27001:2013.

Requirements:

Qualification:

Bachelor (4-year) degree in computer science/Computer Engineering and related disciplines.
MCITP, MSCA, MCSE, ITIL.

Experience

6-9 years’ experience of Enterprise IT & Related Systems

Skills / Abilities / Knowledge

System Administration of Active Directory, DNS, NTP, CA, WSUS, SCCM and SCOM
Administration of EDR/XDR
Understanding of best practices being followed in IT industry.
Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Problem solving & trouble shooting skills
