We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager (GM) to oversee all aspects of our flour mill operations. As the GM, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and driving business growth within the flour mill industry.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives, increase market share, and drive profitability in the flour mill industry.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the flour mill, including milling processes, production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control measures.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of professionals, including production staff, quality assurance specialists, maintenance technicians, and administrative personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Production Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime through process optimization, equipment upgrades, and implementation of best practices in flour milling operations.
Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to strict quality standards and food safety regulations throughout the milling process, conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality control checks to maintain product consistency and meet customer expectations.
Supply Chain Management: Manage relationships with suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment, negotiating contracts, monitoring supply chain performance, and implementing strategies to optimize procurement and minimize costs.
Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, regulatory compliance standards, and environmental regulations applicable to flour milling operations, ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the flour mill, analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and implementing cost-saving measures to achieve profitability targets.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and stakeholders in the flour mill industry, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Analysis and Business Development: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and expand market presence through product innovation, branding initiatives, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in senior management roles within the flour mill industry, with a track record of success in operations management, team leadership, and business development.
Strong technical knowledge of flour milling processes, equipment, and quality assurance standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, analytical skills, and business acumen to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols in the food processing industry.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budget management, and performance metrics tracking.
Strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
