We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage and oversee the daily financial activities of our construction company.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and handling day-to-day financial operations. You will collaborate closely with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and cost management for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records including project-related expenses, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Oversee and manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project budgets.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients for completed work.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring all vendor payments are processed on time.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and construction industry tax requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Manage the payroll process for construction workers and staff.
- Ensure proper documentation and payment of overtime, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
