Import Coordinator

You will oversee the entire import process, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery of goods. This role involves liaising with customs, freight forwarders, and banks to ensure smooth import operations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the import process from start to finish, including documentation, shipping, and delivery.
Prepare and review import documents such as bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Handle customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate clearance of goods.
Manage banking documents related to imports, such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, and payment processes.
Monitor shipment schedules and update stakeholders on the status of imports.
Resolve any issues or delays in the import process.
Maintain records of all import transactions and ensure accurate documentation.
Stay updated on changes in import regulations and trade policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of three to five years of experience in import coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import regulations, and banking documentation.
Familiarity with freight forwarding and international shipping processes.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and logistics software.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
