The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating and overseeing operational planning for oil and gas, power and petrochemical projects. This involves in preparation of precise plans, resource planning, managing, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. They must ensure the efficient execution of activities while meeting project goals.

Job Activities

Project Planning: Understand scope of work, develop WBS

Resource Management: Ensure proper coordination and allocation of resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials.

Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and optimize project schedules to meet project objectives and timelines.

Risk Analysis: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks associated with operational activities.

Performance Optimization: Analyse data to identify possible improvements and propose solutions for optimal performance.

Communication and Collaboration: Ensure clear and effective communication among multidisciplinary teams for successful plan implementation.

Supervision and Adjustment: Supervise plan execution and adjust strategies if necessary to meet project requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills:

Minimum Bachelors degree.
Minimum experience 3 to 4 years of project management. Proficiency in Primavera and MS office with excellent Excel skills
Excellent planning and project management skills.
In-depth knowledge of power, oil and gas processes and technologies.
Ability to analyse data and make decisions based on thorough analysis.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Capability to manage priorities and adapt quickly to changes.

Habibullah Coastal Power Plant at Quetta AEPL is managing O&M Subcontract for GEII since 2001at the 126MW Project based on GE's 3xLM6000 Units. The Plant is ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certified. AEPL is managing the HR, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Procurement, Permits and Licensing. Sheikhupura 150 MW Rental Power Project AEPL Supported its foreign associate GE Energy Rentals in erection and commissioning of 150MW Rental Project (7xTM2500) at Sheikhupura for Wapda. The project was completed in a record time of less than four months. AEPL provided services for Camp Buildup, Substation, Civil Works, Erection & Testing. Presently the Operations Staff of AEPL is supporting GE in O&M 225 MW Balloki Power Project AEPL is the Construction Contractor of 225MW Balloki Power Project. Notice to Proceed was issued to EP Contractor Skodaexport and C Contracor AEPL on December 30, 2005. The Project is based on 2x6FA Gas Turbines from GE in Combined Cycle Mode with Steam Turbine from Skodaexport and HRSGs from Alstom, Czech Republic. Currently Civil Works & Man Camp Construction are ongoing at site.GE has also signed 18 Years O&M Agreement with Orient Power Company (Pvt) Ltd. AEPL is supporting GE as variable Sales Channel.
